Two young tennis players, Sonmez and Bassols Ribera, reached the final in Ljubljana. Sonmez made her way through a tough draw of strong opponents, demonstrating superb gameplay and confidence. In the semi-finals, she defeated Zidansek, the top favorite of the tournament, in a dominant fashion. Sonmez showed a high first serve percentage, excellent results on her own serve, and made numerous break points. The more experienced Spanish player, Bassols Ribera, also displayed good gameplay, but her draw was slightly easier. She faced difficulties in the first round against Radivojevic, winning in a decisive tiebreak. Both girls will play their first WTA-level final, but Sonmez has shown more consistent and impressive gameplay throughout the tournament. Taking this into account, I lean towards Sonmez winning this final.
